Increase Medical Emergency Survivability

$125 – $325This course is designed to teach basics of medical trauma management for increased survivability in both non-hostile medical situations or in the hostile environments where an armed defender may also need to save life by rendering aid.
Trauma medicine is a constantly evolving and changing skill sets need to be kept sharp and ready at a moment’s notice. Even if you have attended first aid classes in the past, there is a good chance that information is outdated and not enough for dealing with many types of life threatening medical situations.
In this course, you will learn how to properly care for a victim of a traumatic medical emergency or a violent encounter, whether the victim is you, a family member, or a bystander.
Topics of discussion will cover:
- Bleeding control with a tourniquet
- Bleeding control with wound packing
- Chest seal application
- Care under fire
- Tactical / medical field care
- What to carry in & how to carry an Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK)
This will be primarily classroom instruction, with demonstrations and individual practice using medical gear and trauma kits.
If you already have a trauma kit and would like for it to be inspected, feel free to bring it. If you would like to get one for yourself or a loved one, IFAK’s will be available to purchase from Mountain Man Medical when registering for the training course or in person at the course.

Nothing is required for the class but below are items that will might make your time in the course easier.
- Pen
- Paper
- IFAK (If you have one) or purchased one with the class
- Phone for taking pictures
- Any food and non-alcoholic beverages you would like to eat during the course
